Scuba diving, freediving, world travel, hiking, nature

I grew up in the classical city of Innsbruck, Austria. Growing up nestled in the Austrian Alps inspired me to always want to be in nature. My favorite activities were hiking, mountain biking, climbing, skiing and snowboarding. But, I’ve also loved the water and spent time swimming and diving.

I started traveling the world in 2008 which led me to India twice. On my second journey to India, I spent time in Auroville, a city built for the “unity of humans”, in the south near Pondicherry. At the time, I had little experience and knowledge about Yoga, so here I attended a Yoga course and met Monica, my first Ashtanga Yoga teacher. After two weeks practicing with her I felt as flexible as I felt in my life! So, I continued the practice and I found it to be the perfect tool for combining my body, soul and mind.

The following year I decided to go directly to the Ashtanga roots in Mysore, India. Since then, I practice every day and return yearly to study with R. Sharath Jois in the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute KPJAYI to even get more inspired.

In 2012, I  moved to Vienna and studied with Horst Rinnerberger for a year. It was here that I deepened my knowledge of the Ashtanga system while obtaining my 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Certification.

In January 2015 R. Sharath Jois gave me his blessing to pass on his teachings, I got authorized.

My life changed a lot since starting my practice and I hope it will keep changing, because change is the only consistency!
